Alan Leishman is now retired in Switzerland following a career in international commerce
which was prematurely terminated by a globalisation takeover.
In 2006 he co-founded AuroVallis Sarl in Canton Valais in Switzerland, which was sold to Aurania Resources, which  went public on the Toronto TSX-V exchange in April 2013.
Alan developed an interest in Geology, Mineralogy, and Gemmology after graduating in
Chemistry at Edinburgh University ( in 1966 ).

His collection of minerals, which was on display for 6 years (until 2003) at the National
Museums of Scotland in Edinburgh, was put together by visiting mines, mineral fairs and
dealers in over 30 countries, over a period of 25 years.

He is also a keen naturalist with interests in bird watching, and butterflies.

He is a supporter of Gata (Gold Anti Trust Action Committee), and regular contributor to
Bill Murphy’s daily Midas column at www.lemetropolecafe.com/

His paintings have been on exhibition at: http://nendartistes.ch/nend-artistes/57-leishman-alan

He has published essays on the following web sites :
